Ron Dayne - RB - Texans
Chris Chambers - WR - Dolphins
| Dayne now has the starting RB job in Houston and looked good in his first game against the Redskins. If Dayne can keep the starting job, he has a very favorable schedule down the stretch as the Texans will face the Bills, Jet, Raider and Titans in weeks 10 - 14. The Texans offense should improve as the season goes on, as the offensive line gets accustomed to the zone blocking scheme that Gary Kubiak brought with him from Denver. We know it's only week 4, but Dayne could be a surprising player that your team could lean on towards the end of the season. | This may sound a little rash, but we don't think so. While Chambers will put up some decent numbers this season, he won't reach the goals that we thought he could because of the inconsistent QB play of Daunte Culpepper. You may want to go out and swipe a receiver like Donte' Stallworth or Javon Walker, who's values will probably be higher at the end of the season and could possibly be had right now for not that much. You could wind up getting a two for one swap, since Chambers name carries some weight. | |

Vince Young - QB - Titans
Steven Gostkowski - K - Patriots
| If Young doesn't start in week 4, it won't be very long until he does. Young is a player that has some unbelievable potential and may be available in some leagues still. With the combination of athleticism and guts, Young could be a player that develops and could give you a quality start here or there as the season goes on. If you league rewards more for rushing yards and TDs from a QB, Young could wind up paying off in the form of a couple quality starts down the road. | Gostkowski is currently 2 of 4 on field goal attempt with two blocks accounting for his misses. With a young kicker, the blocks could really affect his confidence and accuracy. Some leagues negate points for misses or blocks and Gostkowski could be costing you points every week instead of earning them for you. It's not like the trade value of a kicker is that high, but you could try to sell him as being on one of the most consistent offenses in the league and an up and comer. | |

Charlie Frye - QB - Browns
Randy Moss - WR - Raiders
| Frye has been one of the pleasant surprises of the 2006 fantasy football season. While he plays for the struggling Browns, Frye has show a ton of resiliency and playmaking ability in his 3 starts this season. He was very composed and nearly threw for 300 yards against a very tough Ravens defense in week 2. It looks like the Browns offense is improving as their young playmakers get some much-needed playing time. With Frye's scrambling ability and the young talent around him, he is a player that you'll want to hang onto that could give you a quality start here and there as the season goes on. | Moss is off to the worst start in his career and it doesn't seem like it's going to get any better. Aaron Brooks is out of the lineup for now and has been replaced by Andrew Walter. We don't like either of these QB options for Moss as the season goes on. Each one is going to have to run for his life behind the Raiders leaky offensive line, limiting the opportunities to hook up deep with Moss. You also have to consider the out-of-date offense that the Raiders currently have in place. If they don't make big-time changes soon, they are really in trouble. Moss still has some name value, so you could wind up getting some value for him, but don't expect too much. | |

Maurice Morris - RB - Seahawks
Cedric Benson - RB - Bears
| This is a no brainer now that Alexander is out with an injury. Alexander is expected to miss 2 - 4 weeks. We think it will be closer to 4. The Seahawks offense is beginning to heat up and Morris has done well when given the opportunity. Morris has averaged around 4.5 yards per carry for his career, most in mop up duty. Morris can catch the ball out of the backfield and is probably a better blocker then Alexander. We aren't expecting Morris to put up Alexander numbers, but the Seahawks aren't worried about their offense with Morris in there and they should be able to run the same offense with Morris in the lineup. | Where oh where has Cedric gone? He didn't get a carry last week and it's not like Thomas Jones is blowing up. Jones has struggled and yet Benson can't overtake him. The fact is that Benson isn't as good as Jones. It's still early in the year so maybe Benson will get a chance, at least that's what you should be telling a potential trade partner. The reality is that the Bears are rolling right now so why would they mess with that. We don't see Benson contributing for the foreseeable future. | |

Jake Delhomme - QB - Panthers
Cadillac Williams - RB - Tampa Bay
| What a difference a week makes. Delhomme struggled mightily this year without his star receiver. Last week, Steve Smith returns and suddenly Delhomme is a decent fantasy quarterback again. He threw his first touchdown of the season and he threw about 100 more yards then his first two game average. When Steve Smith is in the lineup the offense goes. It appears that Smith will be in the lineup this week without any ill effects from his hamstring. If you don't own Delhomme, maybe you can pull the trade to get him. | 48 yards and a score. That was Cadillac's numbers from last week, and that was his best game of the year. The Bucs offense has looked terrible this year and now they will be starting a rookie quarterback. Defenses will be crowding the line and it will be difficult for Williams to find running room. On top of that, he's battling back spasms that have been rumored to be disk problems. He may have a decent game here and there but he's too inconsisent to keep in your starting lineup. | |

Matt
Leinart - QB - Cardinals
Jeremy Shockey - TE - Giants
| We all figured he'd get the start eventually but this is earlier than we thought. Leinart should get the start this week and he inherits an incredibly talented offense with two all pro receivers and a long distance threat. HC Green may dummy up the offense a bit for Leinart but he should be able to put up solid numbers. He's going to make the usual rookie mistakes so if your scoring system deducts for fumbles and interceptions you may want to wait and see how Matt does, but other then that grab him. | There's a lot of talking going on in the big apple and not much of it is positive. Shockey is blaming the coaching staff for last week's loss. For all the talking Shockey does, you'd think he'd produce more on the field. He's always hurt, this time he's got an ankle injury. When healthy Shockey can put up nice numbers, but he's never healthy. So far this year, his best game is week one with 59 yards. If you put out the trade feelers on Shockey you should be able to get some great value in return. | |
