the Steelers Team Needs in the HG Forums

- With the retirement of Jeff Hartings,
the Steeler have a void at the center position. They are
toying with the idea of moving Kendall Simmons to center,
which would reshuffle the O-line and leave Simmons spot
open. The Steeler need to strengthen the interior of their
usual strong O-line.

|
| |
|
|
| |
- The drafting of Santonio Holmes helped
this position out last year, but they are going to need
to develop another young receiver, since Hines Ward probably
only has a few more productive years left in him. Look for
them to draft a WR in the mid to late rounds with the hopes
of developing a project.

|
| |
|
|
| |
- While Willie Parker did a great job in
2006, there is no clear cut backup for him. Najeh Davenport
was resigned in the offseason, but if Parker went down,
it's questionable if he could handle the full rushing load.

| Defense |
|
|
| |
- What once was a strength of their defense
is now a weakness. The loss of Joey Porter further weakened
this unit and they are in need of a young, impact player
or two at the LB position. Look for them to draft more than
one during this years draft.

|
| |
|
|
| |
- Ricardo Colclough looks like he is a draft
bust and others in the secondary still have questions about
them. The Steelers could do themselves well by picking up
a quality CB in the second round, depending on what is there
when they draft.
