- departure of Donte Stallworth leaves the Eagles without a proven wideout. The Eagles will go once again into the offseason with Reggie Brown as their top receiver. Brown did well last year, but they have no one after him. This is a deep wide receiver class in the draft and there should be plenty of talent when the Eagles are on the clock in the first round.

- Why the need at quarterback when the Eagles have Donovan McNabb? For starters, McNabb will turn 31 during the upcoming season. However, the real concern is that McNabb has missed parts of the last two seasons because of injuries. He will continue to be injury prone as he gets older. Replacing McNabb isn't a pressing need but the Eagles need to begin to think about life after McNabb and hopefully it's better than AJ Feeley.

- Buckhalter and Mahe are unrestricted free agents. It's quite likely that Buckhalter will be back but with his past injury problems he's not a long term answer. Brian Westbrook had a great year last year finishing with over 1200 yards rushing but he has a history of knee problems as well.

- Brian Dawkins will be 34 this year and there is zero depth at this spot. The problem will be that the top two safeties will probably be gone by the time the Eagles draft. They may have to wait and hope a player like Brandon Meriweather is available in the second round.

- The Eagles need an all around upgrade at this position. Dhani Jones and Omar Gaither aren't going to put fear into any offensive coordinators
