This seems to be a need for the Browns every
year. The availability of LeCharles Bentley and Ryan Tucker
for the 2007 season is up in the air right now. Cosey Coleman
is an unresticted FA with bad knees and Joe Andruzzi only
has so many years left in him. The Browns need to upgrade
this unit that has been beed in disarray since they came
back in the league.
RB
Rueben Droughns had a serious drop off last
season and doesn't have that extra gear to break off the
long runs. Beyond Droughns, the Browns are pretty thin at
RB with Jason Wright and Jerome Harrison as the backups.
They need to add either some top end talent here or depth.
QB
Many say that Charile Frye isn't the answer
and Derek Anderson isn't much better. The Browns could add
a veteran via free agency to either push the youngsters
or be their starter for 2007.
Defense
DT
Both Opheous Roye and Ted Washington are
long in the tooth and Alvin McKinley is an unrestricted
free agent. The Browns need to add some young, run-stopping
talent here or teams will continue to run all over them.
CB
Injuries ravaged this position in 2006 and
will continue to do so in 2007 as both Gary Baxter and Daylon
McCutheon may not be back. Davin Holly showed some talent,
but they still need more.
