The Bills enter the off-season with several questions, but none bigger
than whether they keep Eric Moulds or not. Moulds is due to make over
10 million, but he won't see that money. Moulds will either be cut
outright or his contract will be renegotiated so that he stays or
he's got a cap friendly number so that the Bills can work out a trade
with another team. If the decision is made to keep him then the Bills
are pretty well off at receiver. If they don't keep Moulds then the
receiver spot becomes a major hole. |

OT |
- The
Bills did a mid season overhaul of their offensive line to help protect
their quarterback. That overhaul killed their running game and only
slightly improved their pass protection. Mike Gandy is better suited
at guard instead of left tackle. The Bills could very easily go after
an O-linemen with their first pick. Ferguson out of Virginia will
probably be gone by the time they pick, but if he's there then you
can be that they will snatch him up. |

J.P. Losman was given every chance to lead the Bills as the starting
quarterback last year. The results were very mixed. He ended up splitting
the year with Kelly Holcomb. It appears that both will compete for
the starting job this year. Unless the Bills staff saw something in
Losman that we didn't, then they might want to look for another quarterback
of the future. Holcomb still has a couple of decent seasons left in
him that would allow Losman and another quarterback to compete for
the backup and ultimately the starting job. This isn't their biggest
need so don't look for a first rounder, but after that, who knows? |

- It's
time for the Bills to think about the future at this position. L.
Milloy will be 33 next season and Troy Vincent is 35, dinosaurs in
the football world. If they address this position through the draft,
then the rookies will have a whole year to learn under two great players.

CB |
- Nate
Clements is an unrestricted free agent and the Bills have been pretty
mum on whether or not they want to resign Nate. Let's rephrase that,
they definitely want to resign him, but do they want to pay the market
price on him. If they don't resign him, then look for them to draft
a DB pretty early. |

- The
Bills were absolutely horrible against the run. Teams ran all over
them and then they ran all over them again. They gave up almost 50
yards more a game year over year. They ranked 30th in yards allowed
on the ground. Sam Adams had a disappointing year and he isn't getting
any younger. Tim Anderson was expected to step up his game last year
but he has been sup par so far. |
