Draft Master 2006 Features and Directions

The 2006 Version of the DraftMaster includes some very exciting new features that will help you build your draft board, keep up with selected players, monitor bye weeks, track position counts for you and your opponents, manage league fees and generally stay organized during your draft. The DraftMaster is the ultimate tool to keep you one step in front of the competition in your league. Best of all, it is free to Huddlegeeks Members!

1. When you open the DM a message box will pop up giving you a security warning. Do not be alarmed! In order for the DM to work properly you will need enable the behind the scenes macros that are the brains of the operation. When you get this message box, you'll want to select 'Enable Macros'.

2. Once you enable the macros on the DM, a fairly empty sheet will open up with some basic cells and a couple of buttons. To start creating your draft, you will want to click the 'Create Draft' button. You will only want to clear the draft if you have completed a draft and want to start a new one. (Remember to save your original draft, so you can rip on your opponents moronic picks later in the year!)

3. Once you click the 'Creat Draft' button a pop up window will appear which will allow you to set the parameters for your new draft. The question are pretty simple and all you will have to do is select the answers from drop down windows in the window until you get to the 'Add Names' button.

4. Once you click the 'Add Names' button a form will appear that will allow you to enter all of the names of every team in your league and their corresponding draft order. So, if on the previous window, you answered that 12 teams will be in your league, 12 draft orders and team name text boxes will appear in the form. Make sure to enter in the team names in the correct order in which the team will be drafting! Click Save and Exit to exit this form and return to the Creat Draft window.

5. Once you have chosen the number of teams in your draft, the number of rounds and entered all team names and the draft order, you will want to clarify which team is YOUR TEAM. You must designate one team as YOUR TEAM in order for the DraftMaster to assist you on certain aspects of drafting. Since you have already entered in all the teams names in the previous forms, you will find that all team names are loaded into a drop down list, in which you will choose YOUR TEAM from.

From here, click Save and watch the magic happen!

6. Watch the DraftMaster dynamically build your draft board for you, based on the criteria you have previously entered. All teams will appear in their predetermined drafting positions and also in the league fees section, so you can keep track of who has paid up and who still owes fees in your league.
